THE Happy Days Diner is hard to miss in Taipan, Subang Jaya. A snazzy sports car sits atop the entrance, attracting attention, and even offers to buy this 70s Holden model.

Walk inside, and the 70s mood prevails. You may not have heard of the Fonz, who ruled our living room in a hit sitcom called Happy Days. He was slick, had lots of style and the girls falling at his feet. The music of Happy Days is upbeat, catchy and retro.

It's so cool --  silver and red vinyl seats, black and white checkered floor, a balcony to hang over and watch the fun on the ground and on the stage in this three-level happening place. The food is American bistro style and it's time to get acquainted with the stars of yesteryear when you read the menu.

The Little Richards Happy Days Mushrooms are a super starter. Crumbed and deepfried mushrooms dipped in sour cream are just so good. Cary Lewis & The Playboys Deepfried Calamari are another appetiser. The Neil Young Hot Buffalo Wings are worth chewing on.In between sip a Banana, Chocolate, Strawberry or Vanilla Milkshake. The banana is delicious - light, frothy and full of fresh bananas.  

Sink your teeth into The Righteous Brothers BBQ Grilled Chicken. Remember Unchained Melody? Play the song in your mind as you eat this moist, flavourful and succulent chicken that comes with chips, salad and corn on cob.The Grilled Lamb here is scrumptious. There's also Lobster Thermidor if you feel like having one.  End your lunch or dinner with a cheesecake or chocolate brownie in true American style.

The diner also serves speciality milkshakes and mocktails. A live band plays on Thursday, Friday and Saturday after dinner hours while piped music of the 60s and 70s is played throughout the day.
