Sashtri’s Designs

This week, The Circle features 21-year-old Sashtri Vivekananda, an Advance Diploma in Visual Communications student at Raffles Design institute. As he introduces himself to us, he shows us some of his arresting creations.

I have always been interested in design. It's something I have always to do since I was seven-years-old.

Art to me is not something that I sit down to do. It's movement around me that inspires me.

I especially enjoy working on my tiger pieces.

I guess you could say that I love feline creature. I am confident with the skills I have but at the end of the day, skills aren't something you can just whip out of your bag all at the same time; it takes time to learn new things and I think I will carry on learning and working on my art and design. It takes a lot of commitment and it's a lot of hard work but none of it really matter as I truly enjoy working on my projects.

My designs and creations reflect my interest in pop culture. and its origins. I adapt my style and techniques to suit the specific theme or the era that I am working on.

Sashtri Vivekanandan is the winner of the Corby Colour Me Challenge. He walked away with RM3,000 for his creative design of Samsung's Corby jacket. To get in touch with Sashtri, drop him an email at sas3virla@yahoo.com.
