  • Fatin, Miss SEGi 2010

In a night of glitz and glamour, 20-year-old student Fatin Abdul Malik was crowned Miss SEGI 2010. The inaugural beauty pageant was organised by the SEGI International Students Society (SISS) at SEGI University, Kota Damansara.
Fatin walked away with RM1,300 in cash sponsored by SISS, while runners-up Hilda Makumbe, 21, and Amina Kalmukhambetov, 19, received RM500 and RM300 respectively.

The competition is aimed at bringing out the best and most beautiful of the female students in SEGI University, in a bid to discover both style and substance. Under the hard work of President of the committee, Ndifreke Usoh, the organising team threw an event to remember, complete with a dinner,  fashion show and performances by SEGI students Tee Q, African Asian Brothers and Rhythm Nation. After the performances, the 10 Ms. SEGI 2010 finalists took centre stage to show off their traditional attire, talent and their poise before having to answer tough questions posed by the judges.

Using a unique combination of social media voting via Facebook and Twitter, the 10 finalists were chosen beforehand through an initial nomination and evaluation process.

The seven other short-listed finalists were also given awards for  Best Traditional Attire, Best Talent, Best Evening Gown, Most Confidence,  Most Charming, Best Posture and Best Execution  of Movement as well as Students' Choice. They each received Sunsilk beauty hampers.
