Plugged Series

After four Thursdays, The Plugged Series Season 2 came to a close last week. The series was organised by TalentEDge to provide insights of the working world in different industries to participants of the forum.

The weekly mentor and student-like sessions, free for anyone to participate, were  held at Starbucks, SS2 Petaling Jaya. Many attendees, mostly fresh graduates, took the opportunity to ask questions and any queries they had prior to joining a company.
Guest speakers included those from the business, engineering, mass communication, telecommunications, FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) and retail industries.

The experience some of these captains of industries have acquired through the years saw them answering a whole slew of questions without needing to bat an eyelid while they shared their many years of wisdom.
Though all the invitees were from different backgrounds, all seemed to chorus the same underlying message: perseverance and hard work is a vital component to achieve some measure of success.

This would certainly serve as a good reminder to us Gen Y youths to put our hearts and mind into anything we intend to pursue in future. It would augur well for the other 38,732 jobless individuals (from a Human Resources Ministry report) to also be on the same page.
