Find yourself needing a fashion fix while you are stuck at your desk in front of the looming glow from the computer screen? While you traipse from one site to another, you get glossy-eyed as you view one perfect model to another in their perfect make-up, their perfect hair, their perfect clothes and their perfect pose. If you would like a breath of fresh air and to peruse to what we deem as 'normal', here are a few sites which you can start on, if you haven't already.
The Sartorialist [thesartorialist.blogspot.com]
We particularly love this blog as we're presented with very gorgeous pictures taken simply on the street. The blogger takes pictures of what catches his eye. Scott Schuman the photographer has had experience in a fashion sales position, and one day back in September 2005, he starts this blog as a way to "..shoot people on the street the way designers looked at people"
Amongst the regular people he sees on the street, his photography extends to the old-fashioned fashion as his blog is peppered as well with yellowed pictures from the past.
Fatshionable [fatshionable.com]
A blog on plus-sizes. A 25 year old girl, who goes my the name J. Just J. Her obsession are shoes and of course fashion. Daily dresses updates makes it a fresh blog as you'd want to drop by frequently. J made us go 'Wow!' as we read that she was featured in June's issue of French Glamour.
So, learn a thing or two and ditch that salad for your main course.
Bryanboy.com [bryanboy.com]
A Filipino blogger who goes by the pen name Bryan Boy. Famous for his two takes on fashion, he writes about high-street fashion and in every sense of the word. From those who make the covers and those who probably just got out from under the covers.
His keen eye and comprehension of the fashion industry will help broaden your mind.
