Estranged on Eight-State-Tour with DiGi

Everyone who's into music and who's followed the numerous Malaysian music awards, would be familiar with Azwin Andy, drummer for the band "Estranged".  Currently, this band is on tour as one of DiGi LIVE! Tour Ambassadors/Icons. Here's a recent interview session with them.

Q: Hi Azwin, What does the word 'Youth' mean to you?
A: Youth is the young generation that is gonna be taking the lead in the near future.

Q: In your opinion, are Malaysian youths doing enough for themselves?
A: I think a lot more could be done; they need more guidance.

Q: Are they involved in healthy and constructive activities?
A: Yes, most of them are.

Q: What opportunities do you think today's youth have in impacting their societies?
A: I think it's pretty much down to their own decision. The sky is the limit for them. There are so many things they can choose to do.

Q: How are you contributing to the DiGi LIVE! movement?
A: Well, Estranged loves doing tours around the country as it allows us to reach out to our fans and perhaps even get to know them a little better.  By being part of this tour, we hope to be able to contribute a lot of good to it.

Q: Why are you passionate about your area of specialty?
A: Music is always around us and there are many aspects that make me passionate about it. For instance, being on stage and entertaining the fans bring such delight, and expressing ourselves through music is just something that comes naturally.

Q: How will this art form assist in impacting youths or help empower them?
A: It allows them to express themselves as some people vary in their methods of doing so. It will definitely give them self confidence and is also character-building.

Q: How do you think DiGi LIVE! will impact Malaysian youths and Malaysia in general?
A: Music events are always a great deal. Malaysians love to go out there, enjoy the music and have fun. It's important to do so. Perhaps students need time off from their hectic exam schedules. It'll also help Malaysian artistes build local support amongst the young.

Q: What's the best part of the DiGi LIVE! Tour?
A: It's being able to go around, touring eight states in Malaysia. Tours like these need to be done more often!

Q: If you had one advice to give Malaysian youths out there - what will it be?
A: Live on your passion.

Q: When you were a youth, what sort of help (youth specific platforms, associations, etc) would you like to have had in pursuing your passion/career?
A: To have the opportunity to meet some of my idols and share their experience with me. That would have been a good start.
