Whether it's old favourites, Western fare or refreshing beverages, you can find it all at Station One.

It's no secret that Malaysia's favourite pastime is eating. No matter night or day, there's never a wrong time when it comes to food. So when it comes to all-day dining that everyone can enjoy, Station One is a name that often comes to mind. Established since 2003, the popular fusion outlet is synonymous with good, affordable local and western meals.

We had our fill at the outlet's main branch in Cheras, recently.

We started off with the Baba Rendang Chicken Rice (RM10.80) which is a traditional dish with a slight twist. Instead of the usual white rice, you get baba rice and 'special sambal'. The rendang chicken was thick and tasty and the dish comes with a serving of Otak-Otak.

Next up was another local favourite, the Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet with Rice (RM8.80). Just like the name suggests, the dish consists of fish fillet cutlets in yummy sweet and sour sauce served with white rice.

For those hoping for something more substantial, the Prawn Paste Mushroom Noodle (RM8.80) should answer your calling. Served with thick prawn paste gravy, shrimps and large mushrooms, this bean noodle dish is for those wanting something slightly different.

Last but not least, we ordered the Portuguese Fried Rice with Chicken Wing (RM10.80). The rice is fried with a mixture of soya bean paste, squid and crab, giving it a unique taste. This order comes served with a fried egg and a pair of chicken wings.

We also tried a couple of unique beverages. The Honey Green Juice (RM6.90) is a mixture of green apple, celery and honey. It is said to be able to eliminate nervousness and lower blood pressure. The Apple Pear Juice (RM6.90) on the other hand, reduces heatiness and prevents high blood pressure. This concoction is made from green apple, pear and honey.

If you haven't tried Station One, do drop by one of their outlets today with friends for a nice meal or even for drinks with live music, which is often played at night.
