35 young and aspiring artists, including Haslin Ismail, Liew Cheng Hua, Mohamed Fadly Sabran, Noor Azizan Abdul Rahman Paiman, Samsudin Wahab and Tan Nan See, have come together for what they hope will be a monumental exhibition.
The exhibition, 'Young Malaysian Artist: New Objec(tion)', features an extensive showcase of 70 original works presenting the radical new voices in Malaysian art. So if you're interested in keeping up with the trends in local art, this is one exhibition to catch. Observe cutting edge innovations, ideas and expressions ranging from new video art right down to the conventional paintings.
The title 'New Objec(tion)' refers to the pursuit of these artists to create masterpieces which are free from any form of restraint, rules or barriers. With this in mind, the artists explore the extent of their creative abilities in hopes of discovering hidden talents. Using a medley of modern techniques, these artists managed to tackle the concept of traditional aesthetics skilfully while highlighting the meaning within their artwork. - Time Out KL
