Divine, Delightful Durian

Forgive me if my enthusiasm for durians border on manic, but dear readers, I love that stinky, succulent and sweet king of fruits. So when New Zealand Naturals introduced its latest offering, the Divine Durian, I jumped at the chance to be among the first to taste it.

Although it really is nothing new in the market, there is one significant difference: It is among the best I've ever tasted. You have my word as a durian enthusiast. Rich, creamy, milky, and with real (yes, really) chunks of D-24 durians nestled in each ice-cold scoop, the Divine Durian is truly divine.

What makes it stand out is how authentic (but not overpowering) it tastes. So many brands offer this flavour, but many have failed to actually translate the durian into ice-cream. Somehow, durian ice cream always pales to the real fruit, tasting thin and weak, like an imitation durian rather than the real McCoy.

And yes, although New Zealand Naturals doesn't come cheap, it is worth every cent. If you love durian and you love ice cream, go give it a try. You won't regret it.
