Explosive Isis

Isis is a animation which tells a story of a man who, in his vision of world peace and a better place to live in, hatched up a plan to create a tower as a symbol of peace and prosperity, or so he claimed.

Based in a post apocalyptic time, this man wanted to bring order to a deteriorating social order but in the process loses sight of that goal, becoming a hypocrite and causing more destruction rather than peace.

Much like the story of the Tower of Babel, Isis portrays how good intentions may actually pave the road to hell, as greed and corruption rears its ugly head.

Isis is the brainchild of Malaysia Multimedia University students Muhammad Omar, Yvonne Chong Shin Vun, Hoh Khai Ming and Low Jianwei. They were inspired by the fact that sometimes in our pursuit of the greater good, we become monsters ourselves.

They also wanted to make it as exiting as possible by adding a few action sequences and explosions. There were also edgy elements of politics, tyranny and moral dilemma infused into the storyline.

Isis was part of their final year project which took a total of about seven months to complete.
