PJ CAD (College of Art and Design) recently had a showcase of its students' end-of-semester assignments.

Marks were given based on the design of the clothes, the way the students dressed up their models, how the makeup complemented the outfits and how the works were translated on film. They were also judged on how they got their models to show off their creations in the best possible way.

All in all there were nine students whose assignment was to each create three different looks - casual wear, work attire and an evening dress. From conceptualising, designing and sketching their ideas on paper to sourcing for materials and stitching the outfits together, each student did everything on their own, guided by their lecturer Es Azren, the college's head of fashion design and industrial.
