BB's bright new Torch

By Kelvin Goh Wong

The new BlackBerry Torch 9800 by Research in Motion (RIM) is set to add a new dimension of efficiency and functionality.
The Torch features a seamless redesigned user interface that works with both the touch screen and the track pad. This includes an expanded and intuitive messaging system.

This new system also has features that would help the user simplify the management of his or her social networks with an integrated access to Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and other instant messaging applications available, including their very own BlackBerry Messenger.

The latest BB model with enhanced multimedia capabilities rivals the best the industry has to offer, allowing users a great multimedia experience. The centerpiece of this new experience is a dedicated YouTube and Podcast application.

Along with those features, BlackBerry still stays true to its functionality as the Torch has a universal search feature that would search the contents of the phone as well as the depths of cyber space.

There are also a myriad of applications for both leisure and work made available at BlackBerry App World which now supports credit card payments.
The in-built camera that comes along with the Torch is also quite impressive. It's a 5-megapixel camera with flash, continuous auto-focus and image stabilisation. It also has different scene modes, geo-tagging, a zoom feature as well as a 640x480 recording feature.

The Torch also has a 4-gigabyte in-built memory storage and if that is not enough, it supports the MicroSD/SDHD up to 32-gigabyte cards for extra memory.

The exterior design exudes a measure of elegance with a business-like feel, yet offering a trendy edge simultaneously. With its stable functionality and user interface, you won't go wrong with the Torch.
