Teamwork activities, motivational talks and getting-to-know-you sessions over dinner and games were all part of the 6th INTIMA (student government) Conference hosted by INTI College Subang Jaya (ICSJ).
Attended by student leaders from six INTI Education Group campuses, namely ICSJ, INTI University College in Nilai, INTI College Sabah, INTI College Sarawak, INTI International College Penang and Metropolitan College in Subang Jaya, the conference served to enhance student unity and leadership quality.
At the 3-day conference themed Seeds of Unity and Leadership (SOUL), the delegates participated in a forum where issues brought to light included the need to streamline administration and operations within INTIMA. They also shared best practises in student clubs management.
Mr Joshan Kyrashq, ICSJ's INTIMA Council President, was pleased with the enthusiasm displayed by all the delegates. He stressed the importance of unity in ensuring the success of any project, and the need for each campus to help the others progress via the conference.
INTIMA was formed in 1987. It serves as a link between the student body and INTI management. It also manages student clubs and activities. Student leaders are directly elected by students, thus the student council is a council by the students for the students.
