If you love chocolates, this is the place to dine; together with your rich milky treats are savories that are equally mouth-watering.

Everyone loves chocolate. What is there not to like, it’s wickedly delectable, sinfully delightful. Don’t get me started on the rich texture and different flavors. For those who love chocolate, Theobroma Chocolate Lounge, an Australian franchise, is a must-visit. Priding itself with a huge variety of chocolates (over 80 types!), it’s one place you should not miss. But surely the price of such indulgence would break the bank right? Well not really. If you’re looking forward to a nice outing with a group of three, here are some suggestions to have a jolly good time for below RM50.
Starting with drinks, everyone should try Miss Coco in a Cup (RM9.90), which is pretty much Belgian Dark Chocolate, as a drink! The flavour of this beverage is so rich that it can even double up as a meal for some. For the less adventurous, there’s always Ice Tea (RM7.90) and Soft Drinks (RM5.90). If you’re already having lovely chocolate for drinks, you should try the Spicy Ginger Flower Fish Cake Pie (RM9.90) for mains. Once you get past the long name, you’ll realise it doesn’t even look like a normal pie. Beneath the flakey pastry is thick, spicy soup that you can’t stop enjoying once you’ve started. There’s also double-decked Traditional Cheese Sandwich (RM6.90), for those wanting something more conventional. Not to mention an assortment of delicious cakes (RM8.90 per slice) to choose from. Not bad for RM49.40.
For something slightly more special, give these sets a try. Boutique Tea for two (RM9.90) would be great for couples who wish to share, while you may also order a Latte (RM8.90). The main attraction would be a helping of Chocolate Affair (RM25.90), which is Chocolate Fondue with four seasonal fruits. The rich mix of various melted chocolate is kept warm by a small flame underneath. Words cannot express the sinful sensation of enjoying this. Also worth trying is the French Chicken Mayo Sandwiches (RM9.90), which is tasty without being too heavy. Given that the whole set costs RM54.60, I’d say it’s a good deal.
Another dish worth mentioning is the Belgian Waffle (RM14.90), which is simply a delight. Crispy waffle topped with a scoop of ice cream and three different chocolate sauces make for a really heavenly gastronomic experience and a great way to end a meal.
Theobroma Chocolate Lounge is indulgence at its finest, so if chocolate’s your thing or you know someone who simply loves it, head over there right away. You might find yourself coming back again and again!
