Brace Yourselves for a Super Show!

By ARIS ZARIL Fans of Korean pop sensation Super Junior rejoice, as the biggest boy band in the world will be coming to town for their Malaysian tour with 'Super Show 2 Live in Malaysia 2010'. It will kick off on March 20, Saturday, 7pm at Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. Their concert broke the record ticket sales of an Asian concert in Malaysia, with nearly 40 per cent of the concert tickets sold out in less than a week during the Ticket Pre-sale. RM138 and RM238 ticket categories were totally sold out (the RM138 ticket category was gone within two hours of the Pre-Sale itself). Fans started to queue at 7am and the queue lasted for 12 hours, an unheard ticket-grabbing phenomenon over the past decade.The concert's organiser, Redstar Presents and concert management, Marctensia began the Official Ticket Launch on Feb 6 at concourse level, Sungei Wang with 15 per cent discounts on concert tickets. The launch saw many fans and even local fan community MYSJ and Sapphire Pearls Malaysia (complete with banners and customised t-shirts!) show up in full screaming support. A dance group, Progression from MYSJ also perform the dance hit 'Sorry, Sorry' at the Ticket Launch and provided dance workshop on-the-spot for the fans. Many on-stage games were also held with tickets and prizes to be won. Comprising 13 members, Super Junior showcases individual talents that range from vocal powerhouse, to Bboy champions, actors, instrumentalists, TV show hosts and many more. These heartthrobs have been making waves with their recent single 'Sorry, Sorry'. To date, they have released 19 albums and have received major awards from international music channels like MTV Asia Awards and China's CCTV 2008 Entertainment Music Awards for Mainland's Best Album.
